2013 at WBU: Tied for third on the team in hitting, batting .321 in 84 at bats…had a .512 slugging percentage which was second on the team…recorded six doubles, two triples and two home runs…had a home run and a career-high three RBIs against Valley City on March 13
High School: Lettered in baseball three years at Montverde Academy…all-region and all-state senior year…named a Top-400 prospect of the state.
Why did you choose to come to Wayland? I came to Wayland because I am seeking a higher level of competition in sports and I was told this conference was the toughest one.
How did you get started playing baseball and how old were you? I started playing baseball when I was three years old, and it was because my dad was a professional baseball player back in the Dominican Republic, so he wanted me to play baseball too.
What has been your proudest athletic achievement to date? Winning Coach of the Year, which means the captain of the team on and off the baseball field.
What do you feel like you bring your team, both athletically and personally? I bring positive thoughts and I want to use my abilities and skills to help the team as much as possible and good personality to be a great teammate.
What are your goals for the future after college? I would love to be drafted, but if it doesn’t happen then I would like to have a job in the field that I am studying.
