Parents/Guardians: Ken and Leanne Bailey

2013 at WBU: Led the team with a 4.35 era…led the team in innings pitched (70.1) and strike outs (64)…threw seven innings, giving up just one run, while picking up the win against No. 5 Lubbock Christian at the SAC Tournament

2012 at WBU: Appeared in 16 games while starting 12, posting six wins…led the team in strikeouts with 60…threw the sixth no-hitter in school history against Avila on Feb. 11.

Prior to WBU: Played at Dakota State University in 2011.

Why did you choose to come to Wayland? Good baseball program and baseball facilities.

How did you get started playing baseball and how old were you? I started in tee-ball at 5, then continued into baseball at 9 and played ever since.

What has been your proudest athletic achievement to date? Throwing a no-hitter for Wayland in my sophomore year and becoming one of five people ever at Wayland to do so. 

What do you feel like you bring your team, both athletically and personally? A competitive and motivating attitude.  

What are your goals for the future after college? Become a successful baseball player and graduate with my full sports medicine degree.
