Biography
Parents/Guardians: John and Carol Summers
Why did you choose to come to Wayland? I feel God led me here. Both of my parents went here, as well as my grandparents. I love being able to represent a school that maintains the same values and beliefs that I have.
How did you get started cheering/dancing and how old were you? Â My parents put me in gymnastics when I was two and I fell in love with the sport. I continued this sport for 14 years and then continued through college. Â
What has been your proudest athletic achievement to date? Qualifying for nationals two times during my gymnastics career.
What do you feel like you bring your team, both athletically and personally? I have dedication, determination and loyalty toward my team. I am skilled in tumbling because of gymnastics and I’m willing to take advice from others to better myself and the team. Â
What are your goals for the future after college? I plan on being an accountant of some sort or opening my own gymnastics gym. I also want to start a family one day. My big dream is to work with unreached people groups in Africa and translate the Bible in a language that it has never been translated in before.
