Accomplished dancer and dance instructor Samantha Spieler has served as cheer and dance coach at Wayland since 2014.

Spieler, who started dancing at age 3, graduated from Copperas Cove High School before attending Blinn College in Brenham. She won numerous awards for dance both in high school and at Blinn, including a second-place at ADDT Nationals in 2007.

After graduating from West Texas A&M University with a bachelor's of fine arts in dance in 2010, she served as assistant dance teacher at Amarillo's Tascosa and Palo Duro high schools before becoming dance teacher at Amarillo and Caprock high schools.

She also has served as dance instructor at West Texas A&M Dance Academy and Amarillo College, and in 2009 performed in the TEXAS Musical Drama in Canyon . She served as dance studio director, dance instructor and choreographer for Lone Star Dance Academy and Lone Star Ballet in Amarillo, which included assisting with the organization's operations in Plainview.
