Parents/Guardians: Billy and Katrina Smith

Why did you choose to come to Wayland? I always loved being a part of my school,
whether it was in band or cheering on the sideline. Representing my school at the college level is an honor that I can always carry with me.

How did you get started cheering/dancing and how old were you? I began cheering my senior year in high school…I was about 17. I began dancing my sophomore year of college…I was 19.

What has been your proudest athletic achievement to date? Achieving a ranking of second in the nation, and ranking at NDA Nationals in Daytona, FL. Also, Achieving all of the skills I have at this point is a great achievement.

What do you feel like you bring your team, both athletically and personally? I feel that I have a good work ethic and a personality that makes people laugh.

What are your goals for the future after college? I plan on getting married to wrestling graduate assistant Richard Leal and applying for physical therapy school.
