Wayland Baptist University welcomes Paula Moreno-Gomez to her first season as an assistant women's soccer coach.

Moreno-Gomez brings both collegiate playing experience and leadership to the Wayland Baptist University women's soccer program. She played at Ranger College, where she served as team captain for one season and earned an Associate of Science degree in 2021. She later continued her playing career at Nelson University, serving as team captain during the 2023 and 2024 season while competing as a midfielder. Moreno-Gomez graduated from Nelson University in 2024 with degrees in Sport Management and Bible Studies.Moreno-Gomez received her Masters degree at Tabor College in Business Administration with a focus on Sports Management and Leadership.

During her collegiate career, Moreno-Gomez earned Academic All-SAC honors in 2021 and was named to the NCCAA All-Central Region First Team from 2021-24. In 2026, she participated in the Seminario de Fútbol Sudamericano, hosted by conmebol.

Moreno-Gomez credits her family as a major source of motivation. She has two younger brothers and comes from a strong, supportive family that has encouraged her throughout her academic, athletic, and coaching journey.
