Parents: Juan and Norma Lopez
Prior to WBU: Ran cross country at New Mexico JC…2012 all-American in cross country…all-American in the mile, 3,000m, 5,000m, 10,000m, and the DMR in 2013
High School: Lettered in cross country and track four years at Perryton HS…finished second in state in the two mile run
How did you get started running cross country and how old were you? The coaches made me run when I was in high school even though I didn’t really want to. Later on I stayed with it because I started liking it.
What has been your proudest athletic achievement to date? Making all-American in multiple events during track season in 2013.
What do you feel like you bring to your team, both athletically and personally? I will do my best to be a better person.
What are your goals for the future after college? My main goal is to graduate and be a national champion in the two years that I have left.
