High School: Lettered in wrestling three years at Akins High School…team was ranked 2nd in the nation in high school…two-time all-American…three-time district champion…regional runner-up twice…state runner-up
Why did you choose to come to Wayland? I came to Wayland to keep wrestling and have an opportunity to be a part of a sport while being at a college that’s close to home.
How did you get started wrestling and how old were you? I was 15 and I needed a sport that I didn’t need to try out and it turned out that I liked it.
What has been your proudest athletic achievement to date? Being the runner-up at the state meet and placing at nationals.
What do you feel like you bring your team, both athletically and personally? Athletically I will push myself to have a good practice and be a good practice partner for others. I will also always try to be positive.
What are your goals for the future after college? Become an all-American and of course do well academically.
