Lane Senn

Lane Senn is in his first year as an assistant basketball coach for Wayland Baptist University.

Senn joins the Pioneers after most recently serving as the Director of Basketball Operations at Tarleton State University. 

In the ’23-’24 season, Senn was part of the Tarleton men’s basketball team that registered 16 wins in WAC play, the highest in any conference in program history. The team won the SoCal Challenge Sand Division title and ended the regular season 25-10 overall. Tarleton earned a program-high second seed in the WAC Tournament and reached the Semifinal, going on to host its first postseason tournament, the College Insider.com Postseason Tournament. Tarleton reached the tournament Semifinal, missing the Final by a single-point loss to Purdue Fort Wayne.

In the ’22-’23 season, Senn was a part of a Tarleton team that earned their first bid to the WAC Tournament as the seventh seed and earned their first postseason win, knocking off the 10th seed. Senn earned the title of 2023 TABC Small College Student Assistant of the Year during this season as well.

A native of Farmersville, Texas, Senn received his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Tarleton State University in the fall of 2022 and graduated Magna Cum Laude. He received his master's degree in Sport Administration in the spring of 2024. He earned his high school diploma from Farmersville High School.

Senn is a resident of Plainview and is married to his wife, Morgan Senn. Morgan is a teacher and coach at Plainview High School.
