Bjoern, a freshman from Germany, helped the Pioneer swim team to an eighth-place team finish at its first-ever NAIA National Championships in Oklahoma City. Globke had four top-10 swims, including a program-best fifth-place in the 100-yard breaststroke. He finished seventh in the 200 breaststroke and was eighth and ninth as part of the 200 and 400 medley relays. Globke also finished 14th in the 200 individual medley and 20th in the 100 backstroke.
