Paxton helped the Pioneers to a pair of wins at last weekend’s season-opening Ottawa Invitational in Arizona. She recorded career-best kill totals in back-to-back matches, getting 19 in the season-opener against Ottawa, when she hit .321, then 20 smashes against Montana State-Northern. She ended the week with 51 kills (3.64 kills/set) while also logging nine digs, one solo block and eight block-assists. She was credited with a team-high 57 points.
