At the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, Durawn earned the men's Most Valuable Performer award for being the top point scorer. He finished first in the 200 meters (20.98 seconds) and second in the 100 meters (10.484 seconds, 2nd by just .004 seconds), while helping the 4x100 (39.89 seconds) and 4x400 (3 minutes, 10.10 seconds) relay teams to first-place finishes.
