The Pioneer volleyball team experienced their best season in program history in 2013, making it to the NAIA Tournament for the first time where they advanced all the way to the semi-finals. The Pioneers finished the season ranked fourth after reaching a school-record 36 wins.

Shahala Hawkins was named NAIA 1st-Team All-American, while Grecia Rivera was named to the third team. Head coach Jim Giacomazzi was named Tachikara National Championship Coach of the Year, and the Pioneers were the Champions of Character team at the National Tournament.

After finishing second in conference, Hawkins was named Sooner Athletic Conference Hitter of the Year and Ashlyn Westerman was named SAC Newcomer of the Year. Rivera and Chelsey Driskill joined Hawkins on the first team, while Westerman and Jacobsma were named to the second team, and Natasha Giacomazzi and Mercedes Torres were named to the honorable mention team.
