Last week Benard Keter was named NAIA Cross Country Runner of the Week after his performance at the Texas Tech Open on Sept. 12.

Keter, a sophomore from Nakuru, Kenya, made an impression at the NCAA Division I Texas Tech Open. He clocked a 24:04 in the 8K race to take second-place overall amongst 109 individuals, some of those competitors from the NCAA Division I ranks. His mark was a mere three-plus seconds behind medalist Evans Tuitoek from Texas Tech.
