Against stiff competition and on the same course where the NAIA National Championships will be held, Benard Keter claimed an impressive victory, winning by 30 seconds over his nearest challenger. Keter, who turned in a time of 24 minutes, 40 seconds in the 8k race, has won two of his three meets while finishing second in the other.
"Benard had a great day," head coach Brian Whitlock said. "That's a great time on that course. He had a guy with him for about two miles before he really started distancing himself, and then he widened the gap the rest of the way. He'll have a good chance to win (nationals)."
