 Veliz, a freshman from Valencia, Venezuela, became Wayland's first diver to ever qualify for nationals at Wayland's first and only home meet of the season in one-meter and three-meter springboard. Along with Veliz, 13 student-athletes from the swimming and diving team have qualified for nationals.
