Tarkyia qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials and will represent USA Wrestling at the University World Championships in Turkey as a result of placing first at University Nationals held Saturday in Oklahoma City. It was Tarkyia’s second win at University Nationals. Coach Aaron Meister: "We're excited for her. She's stronger, mentally tougher and mature. She's been a rock for us and embodies what we stand for and what we're about." Tarkyia is a senior from Katy.
