Elizabeth, a sophomore from Greenville, S.C., impressed Coach Brian Whitlock at Texas Tech’s Masked Rider Invitational as she hit an “A” standard in the 1,500 meters (altitude-adjusted 4:36.11) then, two hours later, ran a personal-best 2:11.36 (altitude-adjusted) to win the 800. She ranks eighth in the NAIA this season in the 1,500 and fifth in the 800. “She had a really good day. I challenged her and she responded,” Whitlock said.
