Jathiya competed Saturday on Senior Day when Wayland’s second-ranked women hosted No. 8 Lyon College, Ark.

A junior from Morton Ranch High School in Houston, Jathiya dominated her 123-pound match over Lyon’s Emma DeBrum by 10-0 technical fall, and it took her only 48 seconds. Jathiya is ranked No. 2 in her weight class in the NAIA.

The Pioneers won the dual, 36-10, to improve their record to 7-1 on the season.

The WBU women next compete at WCWA Nationals on Feb. 8 and 9 in Marietta, Ga.
