Boen, a senior from Eldoret, Kenya, won the South Plains College Cross Country Meet on Saturday in Levelland, finishing the 8-kilometer course in 24 minutes, 18 seconds to lead the Pioneers to a first-place team finish. Boen's time was close to 10 seconds faster than the runner-up. A total of 59 runners competed.
