Hector set school records for most goals in a game with five and most points in a game with 11 during Wayland’s season-opening 11-0 rout of Ecclesia College (Ark.) at Hilliard Field. A senior from Manteca, Calif., Hector recorded his five goals in a 30-minute period from late in the first half to midway through the second, including four goals in the latter half. He broke the old record of three goals held by four former Pioneers, and with his 11 points (he had one assist) shattered the old record of seven points. Hector, who scored three goals all of last season, aided the Pioneers to team records for most goals in a game, most team assists (9) and most points (31).
