Chickasha, Okla.---The Wayland Baptist soccer season came to a close Tuesday afternoon with both the Pioneer men and women dropping 10-0 decisions to the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.
The Pioneer women placed all seven of the shots they took on goal and starting goalkeeper Kylie Middleton made nine saves against the Drover women, but USAO peppered Wayland with 34 shots in the contest, 19 of which were on goal.
Najuka Anderson and Ashley Woodall led WBU with two shots on goal each.
In the men's game, freshman Cole Stutz had both the Pioneer shots on goal. Colten Givens, another freshman, recorded three shots to lead WBU, which finished with seven shots in the contest.
USAO scored five goals in each half and ended up with a total of 33 shots, 17 on goal.
The Wayland women conclude the season with an overall record of 3-13-1 and a conference mark of 1-8-1. The men went 0-16 and 0-9 in their inaugural season.
