Iesha Greer defends vs. Northwood.
On the strength of a six-game winning streak, the Wayland Baptist Flying Queens received votes in this week's NAIA Women's Basketball Top 25 poll.

The Flying Queens (10-8 overall, 7-2 Sooner Athletic Conference) earned six votes in this week's poll, making them the equivalent of No. 31 in the nation.

The Flying Queens have not been ranked in the Top 25 since 2009-10.

With a win on Thursday at home against St. Gregory's University (2-14, 1-9), a team Wayland defeated on Jan. 20 in Shawnee, Okla., 108-82, the Queens will own a seven-game win streak, their longest run since the 1999 team won its first 11 games of the season. Tip-off in Hutcherson Center is 6 p.m.

Other SAC teams mentioned in the Top 25 are No. 5 Oklahoma Baptist (16-2, 9-0), No. 7 Oklahoma City (12-2, 9-1) and No. 19 John Brown (14-4, 7-3). OBU and OCU retained their rankings from last week while JBU dropped one spot from 18th. Wayland hosts JBU at 1 p.m. Saturday.

In the men's poll, the WBU Pioneers did not receive any votes, although they were responsible for a new No. 1 after knocking off then top-ranked Southwestern Assemblies of God at home on Thursday, 89-82. SAGU (16-2, 9-1) fell from No. 1 to No. 4.

Other ranked SAC teams are Mid-America Christian (11-5, 7-3), which improved from 22nd to 16th, and St. Gregory's (15-4, 6-4), which fell from 17th to 22nd. Oklahoma City University (10-7, 6-4) received votes.

The Pioneers host St. Gregory's on Thursday, at 8 p.m.  WBU fell to the Cavaliers, 102-99, on Jan. 20 in Shawnee. WBU entertains John Brown (12-7, 2-7) at 3 p.m. Saturday.
