For the third straight season, the Wayland Baptist volleyball program will sponsor "Block for the Cure," a breast cancer awareness campaign.
For each of their five matches in October, Coach
Jim Giacomazzi and the Pioneers will donate $5 to Susan G. Komen, an organization that educates, supports research, provides financial and emotional assistance, and advocates for better breast cancer policy.
Over the last two years, the Pioneer volleyball team has raised more than $1,000 with their Block for the Cure campaign, and they hope to raise a lot more this year.
Anyone who would like to join the volleyball team with a per-block or any monetary donation may contact Coach Giacomazzi at 291-3825 or
giacomazzij@wbu.edu.
