The Wayland Baptist Flying Queens continue to garner votes in the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 poll.
The Flying Queens (11-9, 8-3 Sooner Athletic Conference) received four votes in the poll, down from six last week. The Queens, after having their seven-game winning streak snapped on Saturday by No. 19 John Brown University, remain the equivalent of 31
st in the nation, now tied for that spot with Loyola (La.). The Flying Queens have not been ranked in the Top 25 since 2009-10.
Elsewhere in the SAC, Oklahoma Baptist (19-2) climbed one spot from fifth to fourth while Oklahoma City (14-2) went from seventh to a tie for fifth. John Brown jumped three spots to 16
th.
In the men's poll, Southwestern Assemblies of God University (19-2) remained at the No. 4 position. Mid-America Christian (13-5) jumped two places to 14
th while St. Gregory's (16-5) dropped two spots to 24
th. OCU continues to receives votes.
Wayland plays its next three opponents on the road, starting Thursday night in Oklahoma City against Mid-America Christian. The Flying Queens and Pioneers are in Shawnee on Saturday afternoon to take on OBU, then head to Siloam Springs, Ark., for make-up games against John Brown on Monday night.
Wayland's next home games are Feb. 13 against Southwestern Christian.
