Members of the 2014-15 Pioneers basketball team – the first Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament championship team in Wayland Baptist history – will be honored Jan. 16 when they receive their SAC Championship rings.
The ceremony, which will include former coach Matt Garnett, will take place prior to the Pioneers' 3 p.m. game that day against Southwestern Christian.
The Pioneers secured last season's SAC Tournament with a 94-60 championship game win over No. 14 Mid-America Christian. The team finished with a 27-6 record, the program's most wins in 23 years, and a No. 13 national ranking.
