Bracket FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Wayland Baptist will face Missouri Valley in the opening round of the NWCA Multi-National Duals when that event begins here Friday. The No. 7 Pioneers and No. 15 Missouri Valley square off beginning at 4 p.m. inside Allen County War Memorial.
Wayland is one of 13 teams – all ranked in the WCWA's Top 25 – entered in the event being hosted by United Wrestling Group and presented by the U.S. Marine Corps in honor of Cliff Keen.
A win over Missouri Valley would pit Wayland against No. 4 Cumberlands, Ky., which drew a first-round bye. That quarterfinals match would take place at 6 p.m. Friday.
Action resumes at 9 a.m. Saturday and continues throughout the afternoon.
Other participating teams are No. 1 King, No. 2 Oklahoma City, No. 5 Campbellsville, No. 6 Lindenwood, No. 8 McKendree, No. 10 Life, No. 11 Missouri Baptist, No. 14 Adrian, No. 19 Ottawa, and No. 20 Waldorf.
