After helping Wayland Baptist to three road wins in four days,
Louis Timms has been named Sooner Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

A 6-foot-9 senior center from Perth, Australia, Timms averaged 16.3 points and 11.3 rebounds as he recorded three double-doubles against Northern New Mexico (110-82) and NCAA Division II schools Western State Colorado (89-78) and Colorado Mesa (85-78). He shot 54 percent (21-of-39) from the field, including 3-of-6 3-pointers, and totaled nine blocks over the three games.

Against Mesa, Timms had 11 points and 11 rebounds in the first half. His 24 points and 13 rebounds against Western State were both season highs.

For the season, Timms has five double-doubles in the Pioneers' six games. He leads the NAIA in blocks per game (4.25) and is 10
th in total rebounds (10.0).
