The Wayland Baptist Pioneers basketball team has added a game against McMurry University for 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10 at Hutcherson Center. The contest will serve as the Pioneers' home-opener.
The game – an exhibition for McMurry and a regular-season game for Wayland (3-0) – will serve as a fundraiser for Rebuild Texas, a non-profit helping victims of Hurricane Harvey. Entry to the game is free with donations being collected throughout the evening.
On a related note, Wayland's basketball games against St. Gregory's have been cancelled as a result of the university in Shawnee, Okla., announcing it will suspend operations at the end of the current semester.
