Megan Sharratt was named Sooner Athletic Conference Attacker of the Week for the third time this season, and teammate
Jordan Breding was selected SAC Defender of the Week. The honors came after the Pioneers opened conference play with home sweeps of Mid-America Christian and Science and Arts of Oklahoma.

Sharratt, a 6-foot senior from Albuquerque, N.M., averaged 4.67 kills per game while carrying an attack percentage of .591. In 44 attempts, she made just two errors and totaled 28 kills, first matching her season-high with 13 kills Friday vs. MACU then a season-high 15 Saturday against USAO when she had a season-best .700 hitting percentage. Sharratt was recognized for the second straight week and third time in 2017.

Breding, a 5-foot-3 sophomore libero who also hails from Albuquerque, averaged 6.17 digs a game and had a 1.000% reception percentage in 14 attempts. She recorded 17 digs against MACU and 20 against USAO, plus three total assists.

Setter of the Week went to Alyssa Arnold of John Brown. The senior setter from Waynesville, Mo., averaged 10.59 assists over a 17-game span in matches against Bacone, Peru State (Neb.), St. Louis Pharmacy (Mo.), Bellevue (Neb.), and Evangel (Mo.) Her best statistical game was against Evangel when she finished with 42 assists.

The Pioneers (8-2, 2-0 SAC) are on the road to take on Texas Wesleyan (10-1, 0-1), ranked the equivalent of 32
nd in the NAIA, at 7 p.m. Friday in Fort Worth followed by Southwestern Assemblies of God (10-3, 1-0) at 11 a.m. Saturday in Waxahachie.
