OTTAWA, Kan. – The Wayland Baptist men's wrestling team split duals with Ottawa and Missouri Baptist while the second-ranked Pioneer women dominated No. 9 Ottawa and No. 11 Missouri Baptist in action here Thursday.
The Wayland men, ranked the equivalent of 35
th in the NAIA Top 20, dropped a tight 24-19 dual to host Ottawa, ranked the equivalent of 36
th, while soundly defeating Missouri Baptist, 30-12.
The Pioneer women easily won their duals against Ottawa, 43-5, and Missouri Baptist, 47-1.
The WBU men next compete in the Hastings Duals in Nebraska on Thursday while the women next host No. 8 Lyon, Ark., on Jan. 26 in what will be Senior Day.
