Tre Fillmore have been named Apex Collision Center Student-Athletes of the Week.

Fillmore, a 6-foot-2 sophomore guard from Amarillo, had break-out games in the 14
th-ranked Pioneers' wins over Oklahoma-Panhandle State (82-76) and Bacone (90-77). Fillmore, whose season-high was eight points going into the week, scored 24 against OPSU – 19 in the second half – and 20 against Bacone. He went 14-of-26 (54 percent) from the field, including 7-of-13 (54 percent) from 3-point range, and was 9-of-10 from the free-throw line. He was 6-of-6 from the foul stripe down the stretch and drew three charges against OPSU.

Ty Harrelson said of Fillmore after the OPSU game: "I've seen Tre do that at practice. He's very capable. He's able to put points on the board quickly. Tonight was kind of a break-out for him."

For the week, which also included a 73-72 loss to No. 24 John Brown, Fillmore totaled nine rebounds, two assists, one block and one assist.

Edgemon, a 5-foot-11 sophomore forward from Littlefield, helped the No. 5 Flying Queens to wins over Oklahoma-Panhandle State (75-65), Bacone (113-26) and John Brown (90-49) as Wayland ran its record to 17-2 overall and 11-0 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. The Queens have won seven straight.

In just 14 minutes against Bacone, Edgemon scored a career-high 20 points, hitting 8-of-15 shots (53 percent), 2-of-6 3-pointers and 4-of-4 free throws while collecting seven rebounds. She ended the week with a 16-point, six-rebound, two-block, two-assist performance against John Brown, when the Flying Queens made a program-record 17 3-pointers. For the week, Edgemon averaged 14.7 points and five boards and went 8-of-8 from the foul line.

The Flying Queens and Pioneers play Thursday night at Mid-America Christian in Oklahoma City and Saturday afternoon at USAO in Chickasha.
