The 2019-20 season tips off for the Wayland Baptist Pioneers when they host the McDonald's Tip-Off Classic on Thursday and Friday at Hutcherson Center.
The Pioneers, ranked No. 3 in the NAIA, begin the four-team event by taking on Arlington Baptist at 8 p.m. Thursday. That's the second game of the day, after Oklahoma-Panhandle State meets McMurry at 6.
Friday's schedule sees OPSU taking on Arlington Baptist at 6, followed by the Pioneers against McMurry at 8.
All games will be live streamed at

This is the second year in a row Wayland has hosted the McDonald's Tip-Off Classic. Last season, the Pioneers defeated Arlington Baptist, 70-49, and St. Thomas of Houston, 76-66, to claim the title. OPSU defeated Arlington Baptist, 87-65, and lost to St. Thomas, 91-84.
Tickets to the games are $5 for adults and $3 for students. All Wayland students, faculty and staff are admitted free with proper ID.
As part of the tournament, Wayland's Association of Student-Athletes and ENACTUS organization will host Trunk-or-Treat at 6 p.m. Thursday inside the Hutch lobby. All are invited, with treats, while they last, given to all trick-or-treaters.
