Wayland Baptist men's basketball game with Hardin-Simmons scheduled for Thursday night in Hutcherson Center has been cancelled due to issues with COVID-19.
It's the second consecutive Pioneers' game (Dec. 18 vs. Champion Christian College) to be cancelled due to COVID.
The next game for the Pioneers (7-5, 3-2 SAC) is set for 4 p.m. Saturday at Oklahoma City University (5-7, 4-1) in the second game of a Sooner Athletic Conference doubleheader. The No. 6 Flying Queens (13-1, 5-0 SAC) will take on the Stars (9-1, 4-1) at 2 p.m.
Both WBU teams will be in Siloam Springs, Ark., for a doubleheader against John Brown University on Monday evening. Their next home games are Thursday, Jan. 6 against Science & Arts of Oklahoma.
