Men's soccer resumes season, falls on golden goal in 102nd minute

Box Score ABILENE – Taking the field for the first time after a three-month break, the Wayland Baptist men's soccer team played into double overtime with Hardin-Simmons here Saturday before falling, 1-0.

The golden goal came in the 102nd minute, giving the Cowboys the win in their season-opener.

It was the first game for the Pioneers (5-2) since Nov. 6 when the season was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
