Kaylee Edgemon has been named NAIA All-American for the third time, becoming the fourth player in Wayland Baptist Flying Queens history to earn that distinction. After receiving honorable mention all-American honors the past two seasons, Edgemon today was named to the First Team.

A 5-foot-11 senior forward, Edgemon is the 14
th NAIA First-Team All-American for the Flying Queens, but just the second since 2000, joining
Morgan Bennett from last season.

Edgemon led the Flying Queens to a No. 2 national ranking and the Sooner Athletic Conference regular-season co-championship and tournament championship. Wayland won its first 13 games and was ranked fourth in the NAIA National Championships before being upset in an opening round final by Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio), 77-74.

Edgemon earlier was named Sooner Athletic Conference Player of the Year and became a three-time All-SAC honoree, twice on the first team. She led Wayland in scoring for the second year in a row, averaging 18.6 points to rank 27
th in the NAIA.

A native of Littlefield who transferred to Wayland from Eastern New Mexico University, Edgemon led the Flying Queens in both blocks (15) and field goal percentage (54.0). Her 8.1 rebounds a game was third on the team and she had four double-doubles.
Edgemon joined the Flying Queens' 1,000-point club this past season and now has 1,171 career points. She will have a chance to become WBU's first-ever four-time basketball all-American next season. The Flying Queens' lone senior plans to return next season as the NAIA did not counting eligibility this past season due to COVID-19.

Edgemon was the lone SAC player on the First Team. USAO junior forward Zaria Dorsey made the Second Team, while MACU senior Lexi Hernandez and Southwestern Christian senior Thamires Andrade were honorable mention picks.
