The Sooner Athletic Conference Volleyball Tournament opens in Fort Worth tonight for Wayland Baptist as the seventh-seeded Pioneers take on second-seeded, 23
rd-ranked Texas Wesleyan.
First serve inside Sid Richardson Center is at 6 p.m.
The Pioneers (9-16) will be looking to avoid a third loss this season to the Rams (24-4). TXWES swept Wayland on Sept. 9 in Fort Worth, 25-10, 25-9, 25-18, then won in Plainview on Oct. 15, 25-21, 25-21, 25-17.

The Rams are 10-1 at home, their only loss to SAC champion Southwestern Assemblies of God University on Sept. 27. The unbeaten Lady Lions (29-0) are ranked No. 8 in the NAIA.
The Wayland-Texas Wesleyan winner advances to the semifinals to take on either third-seeded John Brown (21-8) or sixth-seeded Oklahoma City (13-14), who square off in Siloam Springs, Ark., tonight at 7.
The tournament quarterfinals are being held on campus sites hosted by the top four seeds. The semifinals and championship will be hosted this weekend by SAGU at the Sheaffer Center in Waxahachie, Texas. SAGU captured the most previous SAC Tournament title with a 25-21, 25-19, 25-23 win over Wayland, clinching the host berth for this week's tournament.
The Lady Lions have assured themselves a bid into the NAIA Championships Opening Round as the league regular-season champion. Another national-tournament bid will be up for grabs in the SAC Tournament.
