McPherson, KS - The men's soccer team from Wayland Baptist traveled to McPherson, KS to take on Central Christian College in the second Sooner Athletic Conference game for both team.
Wayland outshot the home team 17-9, but each team was only able to get put one ball in the net and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
Wayland drew first blood when
Jamol Williams scored in the 17th minute.
Central Christian tied the game in the 20th minute on a goal by Mattia Cola.
Both defenses were outstanding and neither team was able to break the halftime draw.
The Pioneers were the aggressor as they put seven shots on goal, led by Jamole Williams with 4, and Dario Catlan,
Niklas Thiel and
Edwin Wiesner each with 1 shot on goal.
The Pioneer return home Saturday, October 5 at 1:30 to face Nelson University.
