Plainview, TX – The Pioneers scored all three of their goals in the first half as they dominated the visiting Drovers from USAO in men's soccer action Tuesday.
Val Gonzalez opened the scoring for Wayland Baptist with his goal in the 17
th minute, his second goal of the season.
Francis Motsi scored his fifth goal of the season, on an assist from
Rashawn Davis, in the 26
th minute to put the Pioneers up 2-0.
Jamol Williams extended the lead to 3-0 in the 34
th minute with his tenth goal of the season. Williams' goal was assisted by
Francis Motsi.
The Pioneer's defense was dominate throughout the game. They only allowed three shots on goal for the entire 90 minutes and each of those was stopped by
Alex Neri in the shutout win.
Wayland Baptist will return to SAC action Saturday, October 19 when they travel to Goodwell, Oklahoma to take on Oklahoma Panhandle State University at 3:30 PM.
