Gallery: (10-24-2024) Women's Soccer vs John Brown
Plainview, TX – The John Brown University Golden Eagles, ranked #19 in the latest NAIA national polls, made a case that they are deserving of a higher ranking as they defeated the Pioneers 12-0 in SAC women's soccer action Thursday afternoon.
Much of the game was spent on JBU's offensive end of the field, as evidenced by the 28 shots on goal by the Golden Eagles compared to 2 shots on goal by the Pioneers.
Camila Zavala and
Narriah Gomez had the two shots on goal for Wayland Baptist.
Ava Kent faced an onslaught of shots, but was able to come up with 15 saves.
The Pioneers look to bounce back Saturday, October 26 at 11:00 AM as they welcome Texas Wesleyan University to Hilliard Field. With this being the last home game of the season, this game will be Senior Day and all of the seniors will be recognized and honored.
