Bethany, OK – Wayland Baptist and Southwestern Christian entered Wednesday's contest in 5
th and 6
th place and only separated by a single point. With this being the final regular season game, much was riding on the outcome in regard to seeding for the upcoming Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament.
The game was as close as expected and defenses for both teams dominated the day with the final being a 0-0 tie.
Francis Motsi and
Jamol Williams had the only shots on goal for the Pioneers.
Alex Neri was credited with two saves.
The tie kept the Pioneers in 5
th place and they will face #4 seed Texas Wesleyan in Fort Worth on November 6 at 7 PM in the first round of the SAC Tournament.
