Oklahoma City, OK – Oklahoma City University hosted the Pioneers Tuesday afternoon in Sooner Athletic Conference play. The Stars entered the contest undefeated on the season with a record of 7-0-2 and 4-0-2 in the SAC.
The Pioneers played the Stars to a 1-1 tie, despite their roster being limited due to a number of injuries.
Oklahoma City broke a scoreless tie with a goal in the 33
rd minute.
Wayland Baptist tied the game just three minutes later when
Jamol Williams scored a goal in the 36
th minute. Williams' ninth goal of the season was assisted by
Francis Motsi.
Alex Neri had six saves in another solid outing in goal.
The Pioneers now stand 6-4-2 on the season and 1-1-2 in Sooner Athletic Conference play.
Next up for WBU is a battle against the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma Tuesday, October 15
th. The Pioneers host the Drovers at Hilliard Field in Plainview at 7:30 PM.
