Box Score The Wayland Baptist men's soccer team traveled to Brownwood to take on the Yellow Jackets from Howard Payne University. The Pioneers remained undefeated by earning a hard fought 1-0 victory.
The only goal of the night was an own goal by HPU.
The game was as close as the final score as the two teams each had five shots on goal. The Pioneers spread out the opportunities as five different players had a shot on goal.
Louis Pryce was outstanding in goal with five saves. This marked the second consecutive shut out by the Pioneers.
"We controlled the first half with good possession moments and transitions which led to our goal. In the second half our energy and intensity dropped due to tired legs but we held on to win the game" said Coach
Robert Ssejjemba.
The Pioneers return home to face Jarvis Christian Saturday at 7:30.
