Plainview - The Wayland women's soccer team faced Sul Ross State University Wednesday afternoon. The Pioneers played great defense for most of the afternoonand the game was tied 0-0 at halftime.
Raelyn Stone played in goal for WBU in the first half and had four saves.
The game remained tied until the 73rd minute when Sul Ross finally broke through with the first goal of the game. The Lady Lobos scored three more times in the next six minutes to secure the 4-0 victory.
Ashley Perez had two shots for the Pioneers.
Hayde' Gallardo was extremely active offensively and defensively and
Bessy Diaz Gomez made numerous defensive plays for WBU.
The team travels to Abilene, TX Friday to face McMurry University at 6:00 PM
