Oklahoma City, OK – The Wayland men's soccer team opened conference play in Oklahoma City against 12
th ranked Mid-America Christian University. The Pioneers held the Crusaders scoreless in the first half and the game was tied 0-0 after the first 45 minutes.
The game was a defensive battle throughout as there were only five total shots on goal in the game.
MACU scored a goal in the 59
th minute to break the tie and added goals in the 65
th minute and 77
th minute to secure the 3-0 victory over the Pioneers.
Jamol Williams was able to get off two shots, with one being on goal.
Francis Motsi and
Rashawn Davis had the other two shots for Wayland.
The Pioneers next game is Tuesday, October 1, when they travel to McPherson, Kansas to play Central Christian College at 3:00 PM.
