Jasiah Barron has been named to the 2024 Dave Campbell's Texas Football All-Texas Non-FBS Team. Barron, a junior from McKinney, TX was one of only four NAIA players to be named to this team.
Barron drew attention with the eye-popping numbers he amassed this year. He finished the 2024 season with 73 receptions, 1,111 yards and nine touchdowns. Barron averaged 111.1 receiving yards per game (5
th in the NAIA), 7.3 receptions per game (6
th in the NAIA) and his 73 receptions on the season was 9
th best in the NAIA.
In Barron's outstanding season, he set new school records for yards in a season (1,111), receptions (73), receiving yards in a single-game (261) and receptions in a single-game (15).
Barron also had the greatest single-game performance by a Pioneer receiver in program history when he had 12 receptions for 261 yards and two touchdowns in a road game against Texas College on November 9
th. He averaged 21.8 yards per catch in that game.
This recognition by Dave Campbell's Texas Football is one of many received by Barron. Previously he has also earned SAC First Team All-Conference honors, First Team All-NCCAA and NAIA Third Team All-American.
