Isaiah Brooks has been named this week's Sooner Athletic Conference Football Defensive Player of the Week after his stellar performance in the Pioneers' 42-28 win over Langston.
A native of Little Elm, Texas, Brooks was flying around all afternoon on Saturday, finishing the game with 12 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and an interception.
Brooks leads the Pioneer defense this season with 44.0 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, while also forcing a fumble and intercepting two passes.
The Pioneers have won four consecutive games, which is their longest winning streak since the 2016 season when they won five in a row.
The Pioneers will hit the road this week as they head to Little Rock, Arkansas to take on Arkansas Baptist in another Sooner Athletic Conference match up. The game is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM.
