Motsi, Thiel, Debus Earn NCCAA First Team All-Central Region Honors, Campos Earns Second Team Recognition

PLAINVIEW --- Wayland Baptist seniors Francis Motsi, Niklas Thiel, and Aaron Debus were named 2025 NCCAA First Team All-Central Region recipients. Freshman Maximiliano Campos earned NCCAA Second Team All-Central Region honors.

A native of Harare, Zimbabwe, Motsi capped off his stellar Pioneer career with the lone regulation goal for the Pioneers in their penalty shootout loss at Nelson in the semi-finals of the 2025 NCCAA Men's Soccer Central Regional Championships. Motsi also had four shots during the match with two of them on goal. For the 2025 season, Motsi tied for the team lead in goals scored (9), led the team in assists (8), and had 76 shots with 44 on goal.

Thiel, a native of Enger, Germany, played 110 minutes in the Pioneers loss at Nelson. During the 2025 season, Thiel tallied five goals and 10 points.

A native of Heimerdingen, Germany, Debus also totaled 110 minutes played in the Pioneers loss at Nelson while also calmly converting his penalty shot during the shootout. Debus finished the 2025 season with two goals, one assist, and five points for the Pioneers.

Campos capped off his strong freshman season by scoring three goals, one assist, and seven points across the 2025 season.
