WBU Selected as 7-Seed in Upcoming 2025 NCCAA Division 1 Women's Soccer National Championships

KISSIMMEE, FL. --- Wayland Baptist locked in as the 7-seed in the upcoming 2025 NCCAA Division 1 Women's Soccer National Championships that will be played at the Austin-Tindall Sports Complex in Kissimmee, Florida.

After winning the NCCAA Central Regional Tournament with a penalty shootout win over Nelson followed by a 2-1 victory over Southwestern Christian, the Pioneers clinched their spot in the NCCAA National Championships.

Wayland Baptist has been selected as the 7-seed in Pool B where they will take on a familiar opponent: 2-seed Southwestern Christian, who received one of the three At-Large bids.

The Pioneers will open the 2025 NCCAA Division 1 Women's Soccer National Championships on Monday, December 1st, when they take on 2-seed Southwestern Christian at 12:00 PM.

Wayland Baptist will then take on 3-seed Houghton University on Tuesday, December 2nd, at 2:30 PM for their second Pool game.

The final Pool match up for the Pioneers will take place on Thursday, December 4th, when they challenge 6-seed Redeemer University at 2:30 PM.

Along with playing the games, each team will participate in the #KingChasing Christian Service Project that will take place before the games begin. The Christian Service Project will benefit Living Hope International, which serves at-risk kids, prison inmates, and homeless in the local community. Each athlete will purchase a $8-10 toy and are asked to donate 20 pairs of kids socks and 10 pairs of adult socks.
