Talia Gisonni has been recognized as a 2025 NCCAA Women's Soccer All-Central Region Team recipient after back-to-back terrific performances during the NCCAA Central Regional Championships.
A native of St. Neots, England, Gisonni has been a defensive anchor for the Pioneers throughout the 2025-2026 season. During the Pioneers 2-0 run in the NCCAA Central Regional Championships, Gisonni notched an assist, three shots on goal, while only allowing the opponents to score two total goals in two matches.
In the Pioneers penalty shootout victory over Nelson, Gisonni had three shots on goal while making the most of her penalty shot during the shootout, calmly placing it in the back of the net. Gisonni followed that up with a perfect assist that got the Pioneers on the board in their 2-1 victory over Southwestern Christian that clinched their spot in the 2025 NCCAA Division 1 Women's Soccer National Championships.
During the 2025 season, Gisonni finished with one goal, one assist, and three points. Her lone goal couldn't have come at a better time as the Pioneers were trailing Oklahoma Panhandle State 2-1 with around 30-seconds left in the match. She tied the match with a beautiful free kick goal from just outside the 18 yard box, which clinched the Pioneers spot in the 2025 Sooner Athletic Conference tournament.
